Description

Capture the pulse of one of the world’s most intense and fascinating cities – Dhaka, through your lens. This private photography tour is tailored for street and documentary photographers looking to frame authentic human moments, raw urban textures and fast-paced daily life.

From Kawran Bazar’s chaotic markets to the bustling Sadarghat river port, this full-day journey offers the opportunity to shoot unfiltered stories of the street. Whether you’re using a DSLR, mirror less, or even a phone, you’ll explore backstreets, markets, shipyards, rail stations, and riverside communities — all guided by a local expert who understands both photography and the city.

Travel comfortably in a private AC vehicle, but to get the best shots, we’ll often walk, ride rickshaws, or take a local wooden boat to access areas the average traveler never sees. You’ll also enjoy a traditional biryani lunch in Old Dhaka, and have plenty of time to connect with locals, observe, and wait for that perfect moment

Itinerary

  • We begin your journey early in the morning, picking you up from your Dhaka hotel or airport in a private AC vehicle.
  • Our first stop is Kawran Bazar, where early-morning hustle brings the streets alive. Capture traders, vegetables, live poultry, and pushcarts with vibrant chaos all around.
  • A short drive takes us to Shahbagh, where locals sell fresh flowers by the kilo. A favorite for portrait and macro photography.
  • We then move toward the Dhaka University campus, stopping at Curzon Hall and nearby colonial-era buildings. This area is rich in people, architecture, and stories.
  • Next, we explore Kamalapur Railway Station, perfect for street scenes, platforms, and traveler portraits.
  • We head to Old Dhaka for a traditional Biriyani lunch, one of the iconic meals of the city. (Vegetarian options available upon request.)
  • In the afternoon, we visit Sadarghat, one of the most photogenic spots in Dhaka. Capture people boarding launches, loading goods, and the rhythm of the riverside.
  • Enjoy a short boat ride across the Buriganga River to get a wider perspective.
  • If time allows, we’ll visit Jinjira on the opposite riverbank to see lesser-explored riverine neighborhoods.
  • We’ll return you safely to your hotel or airport, with memory cards full of compelling stories and images.
